Just when we thought these infamous F4 dramas couldn’t be anymore reused & remade (Taiwanese, Japanese, Korean, AND the in production Chinese remake), VietNam just had to jump in and make my nightmare, a reality.

Except….I take that back . With rumored characters like the following, I’m actually quite excited. It seems like that since by now that everyone could probably recite the story by heart, the second most important aspect to highlight upon for these dramas are, of course, the aesthetics. And you thought that the acting quality would play a big impact on the success of anything cinematic-related didn’t you? Well apparently Idol-dramas beg to differ, as evident with Korea’s version where the acting was not just bad..it was BAD…and yet they were still raking in some major dough.

Since Korea’s “Boys Over Flowers” still currently hold a 2 year copyright of the story, it’ll be a while until the VietNamese version actually hits the little screen. As for the Chinese remake, I’m not too sure whether they’re also waiting for the 2 year period to draw out or that they have some kind of special exception instead.

The man-possibly-in-charge of this drama will be Dũng ‘Khùng,’ also director of “Hot Kiss 1 & 2,” “39 degree Love,” “Long Legged Girls,” & “Truong Ba’s soul in a Butcher’s Body.”
